The Process of Certification
is not simply about understanding the principles of The Work intellectually;
it is about embodying the radical life-shifts that happen as you
work with the four questions and turnaround within the curriculum
of the Institute.
When you are enrolled as a candidate to be one of our Certified
Facilitators, you immediately step into an intensive immersion in
the Institute's curriculum.
About The Certification Program
- The best facilitators are ones who have done their Work and
have spent time with Katie at a variety of events. The BKI Certification
Program has been designed with that in mind. It is as much a self-realization
program as it is a certification program.
- Certification must be completed within a 2 to 6 year time frame.
- A total of 100 days/800 hours is required for certification.
- Events attended one year prior to the first School will be credited
as part of the requirements for certification.
- Participants must attend The School
prior to entering the Certification Program. It does not
have to be the first event that people attend.
- Each participant in the certification program will be assigned
a mentor who is a certified facilitator.
The 100-Day Certification Process
School as a Participant - 9 days
- All graduates of the School who receive a diploma will be eligible
to begin the Certification process.
- You may sign up for the certification process at any time after
your first School.
School as Staff or Repeater - 9 days
You may choose to attend the second School as staff or as a repeater.
One-on-One With Certification Group - 20 days/160 hours
Participants in the Certification Program will be given the opportunity
to join a one-on-one program designed specifically for Certification
- This program will involve giving and receiving feedback on facilitations
as well as taping sessions and doing your own evaluations.
- Commitments are made on a monthly basis and you and your assigned
partner determine times to exchange facilitations.
Teleclasses/Webinars with Katie - 40 hours
The following classes will be offered monthly in four ninety minute
sessions on an on-going basis:
- Improving your Facilitation Skills
You will have opportunities to facilitate another participant, give
and receive feedback. Specific exercises designed for the Certification
Program or modifications of School exercises will be included.
- Facilitation and Q and A with Katie
About facilitation and The Work - special topics, how to deal with
difficult issues and people.
- "I'm Certified. Now What?"
Designed to help you answer the questions you have about moving
The Work in your world. We help you discover your clients and set
up your facilitation business. We give you process and pricing guidelines
and help you develop a life-sustaining business to bring peace and
clarity to your clients.
Volunteer on the BKI Hotline and/or with Clients - 160 hours
- This is an opportunity to give what you receive to other people.
- Approval to begin this phase whether for the hotline or with clients:
You can apply for this phase one year after first School. Exchange
facilitations with three certified facilitators with collective
approval of all three. One of the three will be your mentor.
- Schedule your own hotline hours.
- Choose to work with those who are your personal clients or individuals
that seek help from BKI.
- You may combine hours on the hotline with hours facilitating clients
in other ways.
